Our Mission

Our mission is to improve public safety and support the local economy through faith-centered Restorative Justice programs. We help men and women transition from make a fresh start following release from prison by providing spiritual and practical support. More than 92% of all funds we receive directly fund our programs. Urbean Cafe Workforce Development Program

Urbean Cafe has contributed more than $7.5 million to the local economy since 2011, saved taxpayers more than $3.5 million, and given 145 clients meaningful work. Employees give back to the community through stable employment, housing, and transportation, and payment of restitution and income taxes.

Lydia’s Home Level II Recovery Residence

Our six-bed Certified Level II Recovery Residence for women in the City of Green is called Lydia’s Home. Lydia’s Home is our practical and spiritual response to the illegal opioid, fentanyl, and methamphetamine crisis in Ohio. Lydia’s Home helps women recover from substance abuse and incarceration through a recovery program including, 60-day Life Formation Study Series, financial literacy training, workforce readiness, and GED preparedness. 

 Mentoring & Bible Study Programs

Our Mentoring & Bible Study programs share God’s love with returning citizens and connect them with faith communities. Having a trusted mentor helps restore a sense of personhood. Mentoring is an essential part of client success. Research has found that most former offenders who are mentored will not commit another crime.
